Pros

Good salary, Good salary , Good Salary, Good salary, Good Salary,

Cons

Worst Management, they really don't care about the talent. Specially the gurgaon office here the management does not listen to employees. They threaten to terminate people if you ask even walid question, the indian management is least bothered about employees opinion they don't even want your opinions. Thay ask you to do whatever they say without even asking a single question else the will terminate you and they will spread rumours against you that he is a bad guy and he will influence you.

Pros

Rackers. Rackers themselves continue to be the only reason to stick around.

Cons

Rackspace continues its transformation from a fantastic work environment, motivating you to do your best, into just another Office. Space. If you come here looking for the once-organic Culture they talk about so much, then you've been duped. Was that once the case? Yep, but it's been years. Culture at RAX is no different than any other run-of-the-mill IT factory like CenturyLink or EDS/HPE. Why's that? Well, it may just have to do with the entirety of the SLT hails from exactly those 2 cultural behemoths! Each addition talks up how the "culture" won them over. I'm not sure which culture that is though. Because it sure doesn't seem to be the culture of accountability and expertise that RAX broadcasts to the world. Maybe it's the culture of management failures for the past half-decade allowing them to keep their jobs and hire their buddies in exchange for firing significant portions of their low-level staff. Management has taken a very adversarial tone since I first started. If you ask them, all of Rackspace's failures are due to a non-motivated, lazy, entitled workforce. Y'know. The workforce that THEY hired. In fact, you'll pretty much never hear from Rackspace management that THEY made any mistakes at all. You'd think they would, considering the apparent need to restructure business units on a yearly basis (or more)! You'd think they would, considering their continued "efforts" underwhelm the industry and let significantly smaller players eat into their market share. You'd think Rackspace would learn from its mistakes, but it continues to plod along, shedding employees, contracts, and profits while SLT continues to cash in and fill their own ranks with their besties at the expense of the very people who have are tasked with actually following through on SLT's promises.

Pros

You get to work and interact with some incredible people in a cool office. The benefits and PTO/VTO are pretty decent too.

Cons

This is a true call center. There are not enough heads to cover the amount of volume. You will be on the phone from the moment you clock in to the moment you clock out. However, there is a whopping amount of favoritism in this department and a handful of employees get to aux out of phones to work on "special projects" while the rest of the team drowns in the phone queue. The ones chained to their desk, ear glued to the phone, are micro-managed for every aux and will be asked to jump back in the queue. Meanwhile, the elite few favorites are auxed googling flights, watching youtube videos or walking around talking to other teams. New employees are paid more than loyal tenured employees. For example, a 3-year veteran on the support floor will be paid less than or the same as an employee just hired and will be expected to train him/her and take their escalations when the issue is too difficult. It is completely unbalanced and unfair. Management is aware of the unbalance and their response is “it is what it is”. This is just my experience in this department. I cannot say whether or not this is the case in others.
