Poor leadership and governance

Pros

The only real advantage here is having a recognized global FMCG brand name on your CV. The standard corporate benefits are acceptable, assuming you can survive the environment long enough to use them.

Cons

The core issue is a deeply entrenched culture of fear and a systemic failure of corporate governance. There is a complete lack of transparency, largely because there is no designated, independent compliance team to objectively investigate internal issues. Instead, serious compliance cases and leadership misconduct are systematically swept under the carpet The HRBP functions less like Human Resources and more like a defense shield for upper management, actively facilitating the cover-up of leadership failures. Furthermore, there is a profound lack of appreciation for the employees who actually contribute and drive the business forward. High performers are entirely taken for granted, while management focuses heavily on relentless structural changes and ongoing VSS (Voluntary Separation Scheme) exercises to manage overhead. This creates a perpetual state of anxiety and instability. Recognizing that hard work yields zero reward or recognition in such a punitive environment, top talent is no longer trying to improve the system. Instead, we are witnessing a massive "silent exit", highly capable, experienced managers are quietly securing better opportunities and walking out the door without a word, leaving behind a rapidly deteriorating operational core.

Pros

Feel that the pay is above market standard for similar roles.

Cons

Intense, cold, cut throat. Feel like when you speak with any employee they’re burnt out, Managment beyond demanding. High profile brands, don’t align with low end culture.
