Pros

The overtime you get is amazing. I was able to get paid very well with how their pay structure was.

Cons

Everyone talks behind each others backs. If you ask a question to anyone they will help you, but then talk bad about you to other colleagues. It was an awful atmosphere there. They are not out to help you, but more out to destroy you. They will put a smile on their face and act like they are your friend, but then stab you in the back.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are saddened to hear this was or is your experience (your comment states you're both a current and a former employee). This being the first time we've heard of such employee treatment at this location, we hope our employee engagement survey sent out this week will help us uncover opportunity.

Pros

There is opportunity to grow within the company if you're willing to work hard. The health insurance is very affordable and good. If you work hard you will get rewarded.

Cons

Work life balance doesn't exist. You have 3 months to fill up a yard with equipment and after that auction is over you have to do it again at least 5 times a year. When the year is over you look back and wonder where did the time go.

Pros

Financially stable company, good benefits, nice building (head office in Burnaby), gym, daycare.

Cons

When I was to join Ritchie Brothers I have seen negative reviews and opted to ignore them. You will find them for every company. How bad can it be?... Well, my bad. Very profitable auction business and luck of competition have created a culture dominated by an “autistic boss” mentality. It would not be so bad if the “bosses” are leaders and influencers. Synergy between different groups is very low, employee engagement too. There is always someone else to blame for lack of progress.
