Pros

There is a plenty of parking for those who drive to work. A daycare for those who have kids but entry is based on number of years at the company. Preference is given to full-time employees. Office is next to a park.

Cons

MANAGEMENT I started with the company when it was smaller. People and teams were less concerned about climbing the corporate ladder and more about doing great work. Senior leadership was recently changed to get the company back on track but did little to fix the issues with middle management and employees. Over time people with seniority were promoted to management positions but didn't have the experience or the training to lead their teams. There are plenty that can provide leadership but very few leaders. Senior leadership plans to give them proper training but these people are politicians. They will do what it takes to satisfy their end goal. The best approach would have been to replace middle management just as the board did with senior leadership. Many people have left (or are still leaving) the company because of these issues. One could argue that the senior leadership can't see these issues / has not been made aware. A key member of the human resources / recruitment team told me that raising a red flag about a person that is a clear problem within the company required more proof. There were already a couple complaints filed. How much more proof does senior management require. This is a systemic problem across the company. Perhaps they will address it in time but until then this is a not a place one can grow. OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH Depending on who or in which team you work for, the opportunities to grow can be slim to none. If you have no goals to succeed, want a place to retire and / or are willing to kiss some butt, you will have plenty of opportunities to succeed. If you speak about true innovation or anything of the like, you are better off finding a job at a company that values that at it's core. I hung on for a long time with the company trying to change things for the better but could barely make a dent. I was naive to think I could make a difference. I saw people instantly succeed and grow after they left the company. This should have been a clue. SALARIES Salaries are mediocre for people working at the corporate offices unless you happen to work for the few good managers left or can be a politician. They have a scale that normalizes salaries across all roles which puts some roles at a disadvantage because not all roles are equal. The company justifies this by stating that it offers other benefits that make up for the salary. I'm sure most employees would opt for a better salary.

Pros

Perks such as big fancy Christmas parties, nice building to work in, Cafe, Gym, Childcare

Cons

Way too many managers with their own agenda and very little management training. Way too little supervision of managers by their superiors. Way too much of a boys club, even still, in 2014 - COME ON. I guess women are just supposed to marry well so we don't need to be paid well? Across the board, pay is below standard pay bands for this city. Total lack of accountability to their employees. As for "Values" not everyone has fun, nor do well do what is right. The company only does what's right when it creates revenue.
