      Great Company, Lousy Pay

      Pros

      Great Company to start at and grow as an engineer. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Mentorship is available along with career growth options. Working from home most of the time unless you need to do a field walk.

      Cons

      Base salary is low compared to other companies. SSOE's payment structure is obsolete and has not been adjusted to keep up with cost of living expenses per each state.

While we seek continuous improvement, SSOE's compensation philosophy includes a healthy approach to compa-ratio. SSOE's total compensation philosophy also includes incentive monies through employee recognition, licensure/certification awards, discretionary bonus, team cash awards and profit sharing and other. SSOE is committed to being responsible with compensation, investing monies into in multiple industry salary surveys that are current and include both national and geo data. We stay committed to annual salary reviews as part of an enterprise program. We will keep striving for better, thank you again!

      Pros

      Very impressed with the leadership of the company. Growth oriented servicing broad markets with deep client list in those markets, which leads to a healthy backlog of work. Multiple career path options for driven individuals. Training is supported/available and encouraged.

      Cons

      Project teams can be geographically diverse which can lead to either early morning or late evening coordination meetings.
