Pros

None. Seriously can't think of any benefits

Cons

Firstly - it's cringe to see all of the fake reviews posted on here. Seems that the company have asked some of their more loyal staff to give 5 star reviews to drag the rating up. Senior management push their own agendas. Forcing people back in the office for 3 days "or there will be consequences" when you employed people on remote agreements or one day a fortnight. There are people in the company genuinely going off with stress due to the fact they will be sacked in the new year and can't physically go in for 3 days (and Sage will reply and give the standard hybrid speil here) Pushing a half-assed ai agenda Pushing to new territories when existing platform isn't good enough PMs make all the calls and ignore the teams expertise Putting people on PIPs as underhanded tactics to make them leave, or pave the way to get shut of them C-suite team are a bunch of old school people who are so removed from the real world... Telling people "if you don't agree to the new terms, find another job" easy then your earning hundred of thousands, or even millions a year. The minions at the bottom don't have it as easy to pay for child care, dog care, travel costs etc.

Pros

Amazing colleagues who care about one another

Cons

Unfortunately Sage has completely U-turned, on what was an outstanding culture, over the past 2-3 years. It's become progressively worse to the point of job security and satisfaction is zero. Colleague satisfaction does not matter. The focus is profit and profit alone. Constant cycles of redundancies and restructures result in there never being stability to attain their much coveted 'high performing culture'. Too many outstanding colleagues have been cut from the business whilst senior leaders are continually allowed to display behaviours which are toxic, bullying, and at the very least plain rude. The latest handling of the return to the office policy is completely symptomatic of the 'new' Sage. Lies, spin, and the dictatorial mandate - you are lucky to be here attitude - is the pinnacle thus far. The offices are NOT able to cater for this approach in any way but Leadership are petulantly choosing not to listen to colleagues' genuine concerns. It is not the RTO but the way it is being handled and failure to be managed in any appropriate or reasonable way. It's all a really sad state of affairs now with morale rock bottom and a huge disconnect between leadership and colleagues

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Sage has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or ill-meaning behaviour. Don't hesitate to contact a member of our ER team to discuss your experiences confidentially. As a business operating in the rapidly changing world of Technology, we constantly need to adjust how we work to keep delivering on our promises to all our stakeholders. We acknowledge that sometimes changes made, particularly structural ones, cause us to lose some great colleagues, which is why these decisions are always very tough to make and are never taken lightly. Regarding the update on our hybrid working approach, we have noted that colleagues have various needs that are being considered to support them as they adhere to the new policy. Our people are at the heart of who we are. Their well-being and their ability to thrive are and will always be of utmost importance to us. For this reason, we are grateful for your feedback and request that you continue sharing your thoughts and experiences with us here and internally. Together let's knock down barriers for all colleagues to thrive,

Mandatory 3 days in office = low score

Pros

Everyone I work with is awesome.

Cons

My review is colored heavily by the announcement of mandatory three days in office regardless of location. Don't tell us you've listened and don't insult me by insinuating that being in-person is how people are high performers. I spent a decade in a role in which none of my team were even in the same time zone and performed excellent work entirely from home. This mandatory change has a negative impact on my opinions of leadership. And I've been here almost 20 years.

We appreciate your feedback and have read through your comments. Please note that our hybrid working approach is an important element of the way we work at Sage that is complemented by other benefits such as paid time to volunteer, the ability to work away for up to 10 weeks a year and free well-being support tools. We recently also answered several colleagues' questions about the new 3-day policy. If you've not seen this communication on our internal intranet site, it sheds more light on how colleagues will be supported as they adhere to our updated hybrid structure. More information about what we offer can be found here https://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Benefits/Sage-United-Kingdom-Benefits-EI_IE1150.0,4_IL.5,19_IN2.htm - Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We’ll continue to work hard to improve how we enable colleagues to thrive.
