Pros

Bonus scheme (although never fully achievable due to ridiculous targets) Good paternity pay and length 5 volunteering days a year Salary is fairly competitive but on the slightly lower side Career progression is good if you can showcase good performance but has been limited in the last year due to cost cutting.

Cons

Top level management used to care and listen to employees and we felt valued, looked after and listened too. However over the last 2 years this has all changed (coincidentally with some change in the c suite team). The company has just had poor decision after another which staff have been vocal against with a stance of just take it or quit, It has destroyed morale and made overall productivity in the company lower (dont have metrics but would put money on it im that sure). The final straw that broke the camels back was the recent change from 2 days a week with flexibility in office to 3 days a week no flexibility. After Sage globally have cut desks in offices, parking etc these changes are pushing people into over crowded offices with no parking left and people don't understand why its being done. No one asked for this and when they announced it they said "they had listened to feedback about office days". Yet when people actually gave feedback after the announcement they refused to listen to any of it.

Pros

There are still some hard working and customer focused people left and want to make a difference Intacct is still a top financial and accounting software solution

Cons

Intacct was a thriving and growing company with one of the smartest go to market strategies that I've seen. The leadership was strategic, customer focused and truly cared about employees. It had one of the best corporate cultures that I've ever worked in. Once Intacct was absorbed into Sage, everything changed in a complete 180 degrees. Decisions from leadership are made spontaneously without warning, reason or logic, and with very little or no communication. The Intacct culture of customer focus and business growth clashes with the Sage culture of just "checking boxes". I've watched top down decisions made without input or proper information that were detrimental to customers and the business overall. There's constant change for changes sake, and frequent layoffs. Discombulated people that are left are demoralized, especially those that came from the Intacct culture.

Pros

Decent Benefits, time off and comfortable work environment

Cons

They do not recognize the talent they have within and talented people are forced to leave. It is all about who likes you to get a promotion opportunity, not who is the most qualified. It was not until I left Sage, did I realize how underpaid we were and I was a top earner at Sage as far as I could tell. The job is a mix of technical, networking and business knowledge. It's like they want to keep employees not knowing their real market value for their skills
