Pros

Location, location, location. You just can't beat the views. Some really great people are there, and it's technology focused.

Cons

Oh how to list these. Senior Management needs to stop worshiping itself and actually run the company and stop being a yes man to Marc B. If he farts, they say, oh Marc, it smells like Teen Spirit. No, honestly, that idea doesn't stink at all. Marketing is a sink hole of money at salesforce. They've pretty much promoted the CMO from within, when others wouldn't come aboard to run the department. While I was there, all they managed to hire was a slew of VP's and Directors into marketing. So for marketing, I would say it's very, very top heavy, with no one to do the actual work. They have this thing called a V2MOM that should be eliminated. No one follows it, no one understands it, and how can you follow it when it changes all the time.

Pros

Since SF is a sales army you’ll learn all the tricks on how to squeeze out anything you can from your patch. Good name to have on your CV and great easy way how to get into the tech world and have more opportunities out there. There are a handful successful and satisfied employees in Dublin office in the Sales Dev - before you accept an offer reach out to someone who works/worked in the same region or ideally a team and get some insight on the manager, team, PATCH. This is the only way to survive there at least for 6 months before you will start hating your life. If there’s no other opportunities in tech for you (e.g. transferring from a different industry) it’s a great place to start, but just be totally ready and know that you will be able to handle this mentally & physically.

Cons

Everything else. I’ve worked there for a year, it’s taken me a long time to calm down, look back and reassess everything with a calm mind before writing this rating. If you are going to apply for a SDR/BDR/AE roles I would suggest to brace yourself for the worst. I’m not going to list all the things that were already said, so do yourself a favor and filter by 1/2* reviews and read the cons - everything is 100% true.

We are so sorry to hear that this was your experience while here at Salesforce. What you've listed in your Cons section is disappointing and goes against our company culture. We want all of our employees to feel valued and supported by their leadership and management teams, so know that your feedback will be seen by the right people to ensure issues like this are addressed. Even though you’re no longer an employee, we’d greatly appreciate if you could reach out to our anonymous third-party provider Ethicspoint at salesforce.ethicspoint.com to share additional details about your experience. Thank you taking the time to share and we wish you all the best.

Toxic Culture

Pros

Great pay and benefits VTO and go anywhere

Cons

- ES (employee success) is almost functionally dead and they only do lip service. - Ohana culture is totally diluted - Certain race with royal accent are in the top management who is the root cause of toxic culture. - Be in the inner circle of current leadership otherwise you are invisible. - Lay off most women leaders across all functions. Current LT only hires women at lower grade level to shown D&I benchmarks and really do not care about women. Those who left works only on LinkedIn with lot of photos to promoted wrong culture. - Micro-management in sales / presales as incapable managers
