Cons
A year ago, senior management succumbed to pressure from activist investors and randomly fired 10% of the staff - 8000 people. Many of my best colleagues were fired, given generous severance, then rehired again within 12 months. Not a good business model, in my view. Growth is often by acquisition, but M&A basics are not followed, such as finding redundancies and trimming staff very early. This partly led to the massive layoffs last year.
