Pros

Salesforce has become a market leader in SaaS and CRM. They have considerable recognition and clout, with an impressive growth rate.

Cons

Salesforce is a marketing company that happens to make software. That applies to employees as well. They market great culture and perks, but have become the big bully they once rallied against. Management in professional services violated both their own travel policies and technical best practices in an effort to upsell customers. Stress and drinking encouraged by the team drove me to a nervous breakdown and medical leave. During this leave, management continued to berate me for not checking company email against medical advice. I left to work for a consulting partner with a 30% pay increase, so even their money wasn't actually worth their poor treatment.

Pros

Good salary and latest devices like iPad etc

Cons

most horrible company I have ever worked for, be prepared to sign your life away. Ok, they give you everything, new IPad, iPhone etc but that because they want you to be for the company 24/7. As example: I was on holidays at Christmas and my boss actually rang me on 24th of DEcember for my forecast and that we were not making number and if I could call some prospects if they would sign a deal for a high discount.!!! Talk about crazy....

Pros

- short work hours - benefits are same as other companies

Cons

- Unqualified management often with no experience/education in areas they are managing - Aggressive culture where people work against each other instead of working as a team - Blatant discrimination - behind closed doors reviews and promotions are highly subjective and based on non PC/HR compliant reasons -Uneven leveling, titles make no sense - some managers doing entry level analyst work while another manager is doing director level work because they will not get promoted, see above - Bizarre focus on yearly goal creation. There are meetings about meetings about how the staff will create their goals. Sometimes there are multiple day meetings about how goals will be filled out. - Unusually high manual processes for complicated accounting processes. Automation is non-existent everything is basically done on excel - High turnover of qualified staff, people leaving within months of starting - You will not find the smartest or brightest of silicon valley in this finance org
