Pros

There is nothing much good about this place that I can think of. One thing "good" maybe this is the most "relaxing" place where you are free not to work as hard as you normally would. But for a dedicated professional like myself, I am not sure if I should treat this as a "pro". Once you are in, you want to run. If you just come out of college looking for new job, go elsewhere.

Cons

- People are like ignorant school boys and don't know what they are doing. The lack of knowledge about their fields is simply appalling. - People simply slack in their work. Bunch of lazy folks chitchatting who do not have any motivation to work for a broken company. People came late and left office at 3-4pm. At 5pm the office is pretty much 80% empty, which is just unheard of! - Abuse of work-from-home (before COVID-19) as a way to hide from their work and responsibilities. - Management is a joke and totally incompetent. They don't know how to manage people. Sometimes you think you could be a better manager yourself. They don't reward your merits for sure and fire people when they get angered at your good suggestions. In fact, they all need to get fired. - Strong smell of discriminatory practices against certain people and races. - Pay is utterly horrible and unforgivable as compared to other competitors. - It's a retirement home when you have no one else hiring you and you are already in your 50's having no other choices to make your ends meet. - Bad everything. Do not work there. It was my total regret to have joined the company years ago in the first place. I got a much much better job since then!

Pros

- brand name on the CV

Cons

- unless you speak cantonese and part of the 'in' crowd you won't get anywhere (trust me I'm part Asian) - ALL the senior management in GRCT are Cantonese...no diversity at all - One of the Directors picks up girls from clubs and hires them even though they are not remotely able to perform the job required - GRCT is all about showcases and PR - they don't care about the actual IT technology. If you create a spreadsheet with a few formulas, they will label it an automation tool and present it to a showcase saying they solved the business problems by 'automating' sth... - A lot of bullying from Management and favouritism overall - External hiring is rigged by referrals/personal friends who aren't qualified for the role - expect your business stakeholders to hate you due to the bad rep of GRCT - no transparency - they will promise you X and then pretend they never did and say you asked for Y, not X. - demand you work extra hours for no additional pay or compensation - all to serve as part of their Technology showcases
