      Free bank accounts and great benefits for mental health

      Cons

      Scotiabank will let it's branch managers bully their staff until they need to go on stress leave or quit. The reason scotiabank offers 10k a year for it's s employees to access mental health benefits is because they don't actually want to take a stance against bullying or help when employees talk about committing suicide. The culture has taught managers to have no compassion for their employees and feel no remorse when they bully them so bad suicide is mentioned. This is a terrible place to work I would never recommend it to anyone

      You can pick extra hours and you get 1.5 times pay for working overtime.

      Cons

      Working here was awful. It's a soul crushing job with very poor pay. Scotiabank does not believe in free speech. You are constantly told what to say on the call. If you do not comply you will be coached about it.. I left the company recently. Was very disappointed with how Scotiabank responded to the pandemic. They increased their fees, gave almost no interest on investment accounts, and payment deferrals on products such as mortgages were not free.. many employees also did not receive salary raises during this stressful time.
