Pros

Job stability and if you are willing to take personal time to complete courses there is room for career development. There is a policy/manual for everything so you can always find your own answers

Cons

Being a financial advisor is a high pressure sales job. It is drilled in every day and every week. If you are not top in sales you are not recognized. Recently it became part of our job to also be a teller on demand, which is overwhelming at times with the high sales targets. Proactive calls are also an important part of the job. I find my job extremely stressful
