      Impossible to move up in pay once you are in the company

      Pros

      Even though the value isn't large, if you work hard promotions and yearly bonuses are easily given. The environment overall is great. Everyone is a hard worker and helpful to make your projects a success. No inner politics that affect your client facing work.

      Cons

      Training and direction for new employees is horrible. Work life balance may be difficult for those who do not know how to say no since the culture makes you want to say yes to working all the time.

      Pros

      Good products. Very robust and dependable. Excellent hardware design and ergonomics.

      Cons

      Micromanagement, lots of unnecessary and redundant reports. If you differ with management you are treated as an outsider and life is made very difficult. Products are made by engineers for engineers that makes for a very steep learning curve for the customer. The end users of these products are supposed to be focusing on patient care not interacting with an overly complex user interface.

      Established name which will help with future job opportunities.

      Cons

      There is often a lack of resources required to perform duties. Management is continually cutting back on resources and pushing more work on individuals to increase the profit per headcount. Lots of false promises to compensation. Instead of working to address the root of a problem, band-aid solutions are created in the short term with the idea that a corrective action will happen after the resolution, except this never happens. Management is aware of the problems but unwilling to fix the problem and hold themselves accountable to the resolution.
