      Pros

      SimplePractice values autonomy and freedom. Great engineering culture where "we don't ship sh**" (plaque on wall as you walk in) and heavy emphasis on excellent work. Lots of growth opportunities for all levels of the engineering org. Interesting engineering problems dealing with scale at the moment.

      There is a lot of interesting work to be done as the company continues to scale.

      Modern backend with old frontend

      I don't know any pros after 1 year of work

      Cons

      You get to work as a full stack - 90% of your tasks - sawing the frontend on EmberJs, which is far from the latest version, which is far from all modern frontend. During work, you think - where else can I apply my EmberJs coding skills. A very toxic backend team.

      Poor management all the way around. Since this was a start-up, it felt like no one ever got trained properly, so everyone has a different answer to everything.
