Pros

Remote Nothing else beyond that.

Cons

I worked at Solventum and was really disappointed by how little support there was for employee health — especially considering it’s a healthcare company. I had to formally demand my right to take my lactation breaks (breastmilk pumping breaks), which are protected under Costa Rican labor law. The issue wasn’t “policy” — I was told I couldn’t take the breaks because my role involved taking calls. That felt discriminatory and unfair as I had to choose, in my regular breaks, between eating, going to the restroom, or pumping (and I always ended up pumping to protect my milk supply and my baby's health). No parent should have to fight for something that directly affects their health and their baby’s wellbeing. For a company in the healthcare industry, I expected more compassion and respect for basic employee needs. I hope they improve this going forward.

Pros

Pay, incentives, and other benefits

Cons

There is a lack of innovation. The same people come up with similar or the same ideas. These individuals have worked for the company and together for so long, it has produced toxic silos where other's thoughts aren't considered. There are currently a lot of smart, capable individuals who are overlooked and ignored.
