Pros

Working from home is default CEO has good presentation skills

Cons

Feels like it is owned by a venture capitalist that buys companies to split them apart to sell. CEOs optimism about future for Solvers lands flat, with many laid off each year. No stability. Layoffs, selling of business units, more layoffs. For an employee, you don't feel very valued even though the company maintains it is "people first"

Do not work here. The pay is a trap.

Pros

Perspective in life is important. You will have a brand new worst employer to compare future employers against. For example, "Well, at least my new current employer isn't as bad as Solventum was."

Cons

-Emotionally abusive culture stems from the top -The golden handcuffs are a trap. You're essentially stuck, and leadership exploits that -Forget everything you learned about business, because this company does the opposite of best practice

Pros

- Great compensation - Passionate and kind teammates - Ability to work remote

Cons

- Upper management used our team to spin off the company, for which we had to work on weekends at times, and laid off a bunch of our teammates after they completed the spin off. Teammates who were crucial for the process as well. A lot of people laid off had been with 3M/Solventum for more than 5 years, even 15. -They don't know what they want. That means that we're constantly having to redo work and do so without much time. -The lack of respect for our time from upper management has driven many coworkers to quit due to burnout and pressure. -Not many upward movement opportunities. Those are being filled in my external hires.
