Pros

The people I worked with Free drinks while at work Free 1 lb of coffee a week flexibile schedule while I was in college

Cons

out of the 5 managers I did have, I only liked 1managers 'leadership style, because she didnt talk to me like an idiot management makes their own schedules i.e they never usually work weekends, a majority of my bosses did this. once i did get promoted to a shift supervisor, that was the end of the line in regards to promotions. there are inconsistancies in every store, one example would be the way drinks are made. usually supervisors are left to close and open, lacking any consistant sleeping patterns. after 5 years of service, and finally being promoted to a shift supervisor after 3 years as a barista, we were given a new manager and she completely ruined my career with the company. She underminded my decisions infront of my co workers, and talked to me like I was a child. physically demanding work, labor intensive. starting work at 5am, and sometimes working till 11:30pm. Inconsistant hours each week, ranging from working 20 hours one week, then up to 40 the next. It is the definition of living pay check to pay check, never knowing what you really will get paid for.

60 hour work weeks for minimal pay, selection of potential employees who won't work for $8 an hour, feel like a use car salesman pushing the latest product or else no raise

Pros

They treat you like a member of their family. I loved everyone working at my store and enjoyed most of the customers who came in.

Cons

You have to start work at 5am some mornings which can be a drag on any sort of social life. Often they will have you "clopen"
