Pros

Benefits are great but be prepared to sacrifice for it. If you have any problems with employees not showing up or running late, you are stuck. Starbucks will always come first. Family, friends, plans will always take second place.

Cons

Scheduling. Baristas, supervisors will get the hours they need/want and you have to fill in the blanks so that hours are not over/under.

Pros

GREAT BENEFITS!! full benefits given to part-time employees who work more then 20/hr. a week. Work with some great people, made a lot of friends. Get to meet and talk with a lot of people. Never get bored cause there's always something to be done. Free Coffee. lot of company sponsored volunteer opportunities within the community

Cons

staffing cut backs can make shifts more stressful, told to do more with less. Affects new employees who do not get the coaching time they need and deserve. This is a company not a mom and pop shop so dollars win out over people. Management styles differ greatly from store to store from micro-managers to just plain lazy. Some were great to work for and understood what it took to do the job. Starting pay is weak. Constant new product to push, track , and meet goals. i guess the biggest downfall is at one time this was a company i was proud to work for. Changes over the years have made it a less rewarding place to work.

Pros

I felt loved and needed and appreciated until i made a small mistake where my well intended actions left me wondering and doubting the corporations support of a long term, loyal and committed employee, An employee whom the day to day starbucks customers cared more about losing than the actual corporation.

Cons

constant change, criticism, rules, gross drinks, all for what.
