Pros

Can be a fun place to work. Good work environment. Great benifits like free coffee... all you can drink. lol

Cons

FAST paced environment. High stress at times to meet sales goals, uphold cleanliness and customer service standards while always working with a minimal staff. Managers only have about 10 hours a week to do all administrative chores. Which is at least 5 hours short of what they should have to effectively and efficiently manage a 20 employee, million dollar business.

Pros

Starbucks treats their corporate partners very well. I found that the Pacific Northwest (home) region in Starbucks excels at striving to live to their mission statement and the communications within the company are outstanding.

Cons

Starbucks suffers from the "we grew to quickly" syndrome that many businesses in the retail food store sector have suffered. However, in the last several years, they have also taken drastic steps to correct this malady, and time will tell if their strategy works.
