Pros

Good health and accident insurance. Reasonable pension benefits. Own the way you work scheme.

Cons

As with all companies, Swiss Re is having to scale back its employee benefits to remain competitive and to treat all employees globally consistently. Certain benefits are being reduced or removed.

Pros

Nice colleagues, challenging work, good work life balance.

Cons

Things move a little slowly; decision making authority limited to a select few. Limited generalist opportunities at a senior level.

Pros

In my 6.5 years experience with Swiss Re I felt welcome, respected and received lots of freedom of how I fulfil my role. I liked the culture of openness and the fact, that it is a custom to invite for lunch whoever you like, regardless of their position. Over those years I had great discussions with managing directors and learned a lot.

Cons

Swiss Re is a corporation of a substantial size, and as such, it is not free from phenomena, that after some time hierarchical structures of power serve mostly themselves, not the overall good of the organisation.
