Pros

T-Mobile was once an agile, scrappy company with an amazing CEO, John Legere. We were legitimately trying to solve customer pain points and we were the Uncarrier.

Cons

Fast-forward to 2020, Mike Seivert was taking over as CEO, Matt Staneff was the CMO and John Legere was leaving. I had seen subtle changes over the years. From unreasonable and unnecessary deadlines to a focus on what Wall St. cared about rather than what customers. needed T-Mobile is no longer innovative, no longer thinking about the customer first and only wants to achieve a million net new lines per quarter. I no longer believed in the mission so I gave up my $200,000 a year role and opted to start my own business. Despite losing over half of my salary, I am convinced I did the right thing. If Legere stayed, I would have stayed, but under the current c-level management I decided it was more important that I stood for principles than pandered for money.

Pros

Working remote and in a different time zone can be tricky but it gives you a lot of time in the morning to get things done. You get to make company wide changes which is a pretty cool thing.

Cons

Career pathing is pretty difficult. You can get promoted to senior CEM but you can do that I f you get a project with a lot of visibility. No matter what the job description says its all about senior management assigning big projects to get a small promotion. Outside of that they don't like promoting you if you don't live in Bellevue so thats a hindrance for most people.
