Pros

Loved my team members! Made a ton of new friends. Loved working the holidays with my team. Work/life balance not bad, however, dont you dare call in or they will make you feel horrible.

Cons

Where do I begin.....MICROMANAGING! They hire recent grads who know nothing about the company. The team leads gossiped all day. Several team members heard team leads talking bad about them to other team members while they were on the floor. The team leads acted like bullies when they came to "check on our progress" I worked as an Operator/Softlines Team Member. My team lead usually has a long list of things for me to do each day. I wouldn't mind completing these tasks, however, she usually wanted them done in an hour. How on earth does one fold an entire section, refill the floor, super-zone an entire area, while answering the the phone and checking individuals into the fitting room???? Employees are required to show up even while sick. An employee that worked in the food court contracted a Staph infection, instead of sending him home, they let him continue to work. When others complained, they transferred him to the grocery department...really? Laughing is seen as unproductive, however, I was constantly told that I was not fast, fun, and friendly....The raises were terrible and were based on your ability to kiss up to the team leads. At times there was about 2 or 3 people closing several departments on their own. The minute the end of December rolled around, the layoffs begin to take hold. It might have taken 3 years for me to escape, however I DID IT! SWEET BABY JESUS I ESCAPED!!!

Pros

discount works on clearance items.

Cons

13 month waiting period before someone who was promoted can change areas. Store managers, and other executives at the store, are hired just out of college based what appears to be on their looks rather than their experience or ability. Store managers and other executives sit in their offices offer no help and ask why things aren't getting done when staffing is short. Consistently, told by executives of everything you do wrong and nothing about all the successes you have. The store I worked in lost over 3 executive team leads, 10 team leads, and a half dozen bench (people who had interviewed to become team leads waiting for a spot to open) in a year and a half. Unrealistic work expectations, when the computer system says a work task is supposed to take 0 hours to do and its a complete change that takes the best people in the store 8 hours something's wrong.
