Pros

Salary is very high, that is the only positive thing I can say about working there.

Cons

No work life balance Company is very unfair and inconsistent It's all about who you're friends with, not what your work is. All upper management looks for is buzz words, versus results. No real HR, none of the HR have actually specialized in HR. Salary people are paid very well, everyone else is paid minimum wage, with low hours.

Pros

Good hire in new CEO. When its good its great. Tries to treat its team members well. Many people are striving to do the right thing in the workplace and for the team. Pay is typically top notch.

Cons

The good leaders in stores are leaving. Leadership cycle of promotion rewards style and flash over substance and results. Senior leaders focused more on themselves than on making the company great or the business better. Senior management appears to be unrealistic to the needs of the store teams, the guest demands and the future of the organization. Most leaders outside the stores add little value to making the corrections necessary to return Target to its past success.

Pros

-Team members were usually nice and helped me learn the ropes. A lot even knew me by name. -Usually worked a 7-3:30 or 8-4:30 schedule. -Didn't need to spend a ton of money to follow the uniform policy -Learned a decent amount about HR

Cons

-For the amount of work and stress, the pay was terrible. -Minimal training. The computer training really did not help at all. The cashier training did not prepare me to perform well at all. -STL and ETL's were very demeaning and talked to the HR TM's like we were dogs. I would be scolded when I did something wrong, but never appreciated when I went above and beyond what was asked. I was always expected to be two steps ahead of them. I cleaned and organized their personal desks the day before corporate visited, which I felt was very demeaning. They were usually young people who clearly did not know how to manage, and were quick to scold but very slow to praise. -The other HR TM who trained me was very mean and disrespectful. -I frequently had to skip my 15 minute breaks to get all the work done. -A lot of TM's confided in me about how much they hated their job. The store had a very high turnover and it was clearly due to management. -It was overall a very toxic environment, with poor management, training and culture, which lead me to give my two week notice.
