Pros

-OT opportunities always when you need more money -If you do your job you aren't pestered by management -When not scheduled up you have 3-4 day weekend depending on your work key -Horizontal mobility, ability to change between different functions after 3 months of employment

Cons

-Minimal communication with most OM's. You will see them typically only at startups or if you aren't meeting performance standards. -No real chance at vertical growth you get raises every 6 months for the first 3 years and then you are capped out -No incentive to exceed expectations. If you do well and exceed rate goals you are not gonna get a pat on the back or recognition by management. You get paid the same regardless. -Never ending OT. Since I started in the last year we have been mandated to work double OT for 2 months of my tenure and regular OT for much of the rest of the time. -Not much accountability at work, expected to help with quality defects caused by other Team Members despite not making any yourself due to the never ending new hires. -Feel like a cog in a machine, much like the main character in office space, hard to be motivated when there isn't an incentive to exceed expectations. -Never had a performance review of any sort -Many of the OM's have not actually worked in the functions they manage and often set unrealistic expectations. -Frustrating to be mandated for OT when you perform your job to expectations everyday, but have no impact on getting off of mandated OT. -Many of the job functions you work alone upwards of 10-12 hours a day which can toll on your mental health.

Pros

It’s an upbeat environment depending on the store. It pays more than most minimum wage jobs. SFS is one of the easiest positions but one of the more stressful ones. If you don’t like staying in one place its a good position bc you’re constantly moving around the store. You will get your steps in for sure! I would walk around 5 miles every shift if not more on a super busy day. Our department used to be the best before it got so advanced and micromanaged. Free snacks every week or so and themed days in the break room.

Cons

Higher ups would get caught slacking off a lot while telling you to pick up the pace smh. They will not care about how impossible a task is in the time they want it done. There will be items that arent in the store that you’ll need to cancel and they will get upset as if you can manifest it out of thin air. OPUs can really suck. Never ever ever forget its a big corporation and they do not care for you, they will throw you under the bus the second you get hurt in their store and not care about you so try not to and if you do don’t let them bully you into not getting the help you need.
