Pros

Pay, customers, the company touts a positive, diverse environment.

Cons

Management is always on top of you, the team members are treated like gold but they ride the managers so hard and make them feel like they are terrible at their job. I feel like they foster a hostile, gossipy working environment and don't want anyone who will "make waves" or go against how they want it to be.

Pros

- Almost everyone is fantastic to work with/for. A lot of genuinely nice people work at Target, and it's overall a supportive/positive working environment. - A lot of talent and motivated people, which shows - because Target has been doing very well financially for a few years now. - Good benefits, pay and perks. - Decent opportunities for advancement/career changes

Cons

- Like at many companies, it's possible to get pigeonholed - Poor performers are sometimes left in place too long - Overall the company has taken a VERY hard turn-left politically during the last several years. While still claiming to hear everyone's voice and that everyone is important - it's not really true. Depending on your personal positions, you may or may not see this as a con; however, I think it may bite Target to be so openly political in the long-run. I've been in large company meetings where there was open dissent/protest/pressure being put on leaders, just because some team members didn't think leadership was going far enough with censorship of a book. In another case there was protest that the company didn't actively support defunding the police. In short, a bit of a mob culture has developed, and there is a significant feeling/pressure to say and support an invisible list of "correct" things whether you agree with every single point or not.
