Pros

The hours are pretty flexible, as long as you don't make any crazy requests, like not working weekends. The pay is decent, for what isn't a very hard job. At least at my store, the fellow employees are nice and most are hard workers. People who don't preform, don't get hours and quit. It's really hard to get outright fired.

Cons

Guests complaining due to certain company policies, namely the return policy and price matching. The promotion process is kinda unfair and one sided. Only 10% discount. You have to constantly convince people they really need a credit card with a very bad rate.

Pros

For a fresh grad with no experience its a sizable income. New grads come in with no real work skills at 49K

Cons

You are evaluated in first 3 months. This will dictate your career at Target. Since many things are out of your control i.e. who your trainer is, what store you end up, how the etl before you left the department there is a high rate of failure. Target likes to hire young, thin, athletes. Those employee are fast tracked well above proven professionals. If you don't fit that model look elsewhere or you will find yourself stuck wherever you came in at.
