Pros

My experiences with regular employees and team leaders in other departments were lovely! Great pay and a good system on app to see schedule/request more hours/post shifts. The work wasn't that hard even though it was the holidays. Yes, it was definitely a mess on some days but if you go into it expecting that it won't be as overwhelming. If I could handle black friday christmas pajamas at the front of the store you can :)

Cons

I can't remember her name but the style team leader who is an older black woman (has been there since the early 2000s, must be in her 50s by now) was one of the absolute worst human beings I have ever met. Not saying that to be a race thing (I am a WOC) just sharing so people know who I am talking about in advance. I only worked 3 shifts max with her and found out from other employees that she was talking trash/insulting me behind me back despite never even holding a full conversation with me. I was not the only person she did this to and it turns out she's been reported countless times to HR for improper behavior but still for some reason has remained. I witnessed her CURSE OUT AN EMPLOYEE ON THE SALES FLOOR IN FRONT OF A CUSTOMER!!!! She had cursed and screamed at that same employee in the breakroom in front of everyone earlier in the day. I am absolutely the kind of person who will side with management if the employee is doing wrong but I can say with complete certainty the girl did not deserve that treatment in the slightest. Was incredibly disturbing to witness especially because she was a teenager. Another time when we were understaffed and I was so overwhelmed covering a department by myself I accidentally missed my scheduled break time, so since I went on break at the same time as someone else another team lead confronted me by saying "this isn't the first time we've discussed this"......it was genuinely the first time that woman had ever spoken to me! There is such severe lack of communication that after months of working there that woman hallucinated talking to me, and I didn't even meet some of the other leads until my last day! No one even bothered to tell me I wasn't going to be kept past seasonal, they just stopped scheduling me so I had to assume! Sometimes I felt as if they forgot I even worked there despite how often I was scheduled. I adored all the actual, regular people I worked with everyday, but if you can avoid this department PLEASE do it to avoid the incompetence.

Supportive coworkers and managers, flexible scheduling, great employee discount, fun work environment, and opportunities to learn different roles.
