Pros

The best thing about this job was that I had a lot of independence and a really great manager. I think I would have hated it if it were a different situation. Being in this unique position made working retail tolerable.

Cons

The pay wasn't great and the workload was heavy, because they were generally understaffed in this area. I think they could have paid more considering there were supposed to be 5 people in my position and I was the only one which significantly increased my workload. Also not a lot of room for growth in this position. And management was unorganized. We were promised bonuses for working extra hours during holidays and we never received them - felt like a scam.

Pros

- Straightforward relatively easy work - Good amount of training - Decent benefits - At this specific location, we were treated overall quite well and often had lunches provided around the holidays.

Cons

- few pay raises - can be mind-numbing - your run of the mill grouchy customers
