Pros

Ethics is large part of the organization, and speaking what is right is not punished. Health benefits are good, and there is a great opportunity to get extensive real world experience that is often held for employees with more tenure. Flex-time can be used, which really helps when you have nightly calls with Asia. Challenging work, and a great opportunity to work with smart people.

Cons

two different cultures in the Analog and Embedded processing segments. Work life balance is difficult to have when the job demands are more than the people to complete the job. Diversity can take priority to merit.

Pros

Large, diverse company. Good exposure to international arena. Being in technology space keeps business competitiveness at the forefront.

Cons

From a finance professional perspective the company has minimized the role its finance organization plays. Consequently, the software and analytical packages that are used tend to be outdated and the level of financial analysis unsophisticated. All important decision making has been stripped from finance roles, leaving finance as a reporting function only. This has the impact of limiting development, and monetary opportunities for those who wish to remain in a finance role.
