Pros

Great learning opportunity, would recommend to new college grads Above average pay for the industry Very friendly colleagues who want to transfer knowledge WLB is team dependent

Cons

Team has reduced to 1/3 of original size in less than 2 years, but BU is mostly hiring in India Refuses to hire externally in US (only internal reqs) to fill roles lost from attrition, instead management dumps responsibilities on rest of team members (with no pay raise to match) Management refused to address 2025 layoffs, employee morale is very low Limited mobility and (capped) yearly performance bonus Restructured profit sharing to effectively be a pay cut (-7%) Unclear job description, constantly changing priorities, management is out of touch with employees Innovation isn't emphasized, new products are mostly IP re-use Employee burn-out common Definite decline in work culture since 2023 RSU vesting schedule is bad (4 years)

Toxic Culture

Pros

PTO, base bay is great and bonuses used to be large until they significantly cut it for this year, gym onsite

Cons

Nearly everything - low morale, toxic work environment, poor upper management, tension, lack of collaboration, outdated management style, micromanagement, inflexible working structure, 60+ hour weeks, removed almost every single perk we had before the acquisition, understaffed and expected to put in double the work after the layoffs, everyday is just a fire fighting panic episode from management that you can't actually get any work done, and much more --> it has given me anxiety and extreme depression

Pros

Interesting work, decent pay, most people are chill

Cons

I swear upper management is making the worst possible decisions at every turn. They layoff large amounts of people with decades of experience and then turn around and say they will convert a building to exclusively produce products that require said experience.

Smoke and Mirrors

Pros

Great people and benefits made this job worth it.

Cons

TI has so much bureaucracy that it takes forever to get anything done. They throw money into new facilities while encouraging detrimental cost savings initiatives at older ones. It frequently gets to the point where preventative or even corrective maintenance activities turn into emergencies from being pushed off for so long. I thought I’d work there until I retired. In reality, job security is nonexistent now that they’ve started layoffs.
