Pros

The best reasons to work at TI are: The Insurance Benefits, Opportunity for Advancement, Compressed Shifts for Hourly Employees (Work 12 hrs, 3 days one week and 4 days the next), Education Reimbursement

Cons

The downsides of work at TI are: Most positions start out as contract work and are indefinite in length without benefits, until they decide to offer you a full-time position. , Management Communication("Need to Know", where they decide what you need to know), Human Resources (Should be an intermediary between management and employee, but they tend to side with management on most issues), Rules for Advancement are a bit cryptic. (Make sure you're informed)

Pros

TI is a highly ethical company with good solid management, world-class product quality, good product development processes and an extremely diverse product offering. TI has a leadership in a lot of different product areas - giving it a distinct advantage over other pure-play competitors.

Cons

TI can occasionally suffer from beauracracy, and can have a tough time responding to market changes.
