Pros

TI puts a lot of effort into making sure that employees feel valued and are taken care of...as much as any large, publicly held company can. As a contractor I felt little different than a direct hire. That is a rarity in any industry.

Cons

Constant reorganizations make it difficult to establish efficient processes.

Pros

Big company with a lot of opportunities; long history and you can learn a lot of product knowledge; good for starters

Cons

Very aggressive on business goals; mid to high work loading; more working on short term goals

Pros

The opportunity for career growth at TI and the benefit of continuing education tuition assistance is a plus. Also, being able to work only "1/2" a year because of "shift" work allows individuals to spend more time at home or go to school and get paid as a "full" time employee. With shift work you get 'paid" time and a half after 8hrs.

Cons

Working at a fab out of Dallas can limit your opportunity for growth due to limit of job openings.
