Pros

TI offers good flexibility for those raising families and I feel comfortable with most of the people I work with as decent and respectable individuals. The fact that this is a big company allows me some flexibility to work with those I enjoy and avoid those that cause me frustration.

Cons

A management team that doesn't want to hear any bad news and is in a constant cost cutting mode while being terribly wasteful in other areas. Too many technical decisions are made by management with very little input from the technical employees who are left to support poor decisions and broken tools. Bureaucracy prevents many things that need fixing from even being acknowledged as a problem.

Pros

Great benefits and growth opportunities. Solid company with a solid vision.

Cons

Project development time is almost always too long. It is not good enough when it comes to get rid of mediocre to low performers.

Pros

It is a steady paycheck if you can last. If you are a manager, then there are lot of opportunities. There are fewer and fewer jobs for engineers and non-exempts as these jobs are being removed and sending the work out to third parties. There are a lot of middle-management creating new roles for themselves within the company, but there is a big hiring freeze currently so not many new positions for outsiders being created.

Cons

Down to barebones. There is a lot of middle management fighting for control with little being accomplished. Fewer and fewer people that get things done are being kept and instead let go and replaced with attempts at getting the work done by a third party or offshore contractors. This is causing quality to decrease and is greaty increasing risk for customers to get their products on time.
