They have a lot of work and do not layoff between assignments

Cons

High insurance cost and 401k only matches 1/2 of employee contribution up to 3%. Low salaries. Promotion from within difficult. Highly political environment. Human resource policies are followed inconsistently by management. Good old boy system alive and well. This allows some lower level managers have authority that goes unchecked and can have a negative effect on otherwise exceptional employees. There is repercussions to whistle blowers even though policy is written to avoid this.

Pros

Beck is an incredible company to work for. Their unique perspective on full-service design-build made the company stand out amongst our competitors. The Atlanta/Southeast Division office was a great place to work. Virtually no drama, good culture, great location, and a good balance of work and play. I especially lOVED that after 2 years at the company you could go serve abroad with your fellow employers in Central America through non-profit work similar to our vocation. That was life-changing and great team building!

Cons

There really weren't any downsides to the job. I personally wish I could have been trained a bit more in my field of study, but I think if I had been there longer they would have made the investment in me for sure.
