Don't even think about applying here. Before you do, talk to anyone who has left in the last 2 years. And trust me, there is a HUGE pool of people that fit that criteria. A lot of people work here incredibly inefficiently and those in charge are inefficient and are not using trusted donor funds appropriately. This organization grew too big, too fast, with the wrong people at the helm. Too many folks in leadership who don't understand the nonprofit business model, fundraising specifically, who are spending recklessly and not budgeting appropriately. This means the entire organization doesn't operate in a fundraising-centric manner, and the organization is running out of money fast. Trevor will not survive with the current leadership, with an aloof and uninvolved board of directors, and specifically Peggy and Gina (CEO and COO), who have no clue what they are doing and are not being held accountable with unchecked power. Peggy is so incompetent, unqualified and ego-driven she cannot fathom the harm she is doing to the organization and ultimately the young people who need this service. Why is an "interim CEO" there for almost two years? The head of HR, Michelle, is equally incompetent and competent leaders can't do anything for their staff that they want and should. Anyone who is "successul" here just tells Peggy what she wants to hear out of fear of being fired. They have archaic finance systems that, if audited, would likely be detrimental to the organization, so who knows what is really happening with trusted donor funds.
