Exceptionally kind people; crisis workers and volunteers that genuinely care for youth.

Cons

Toxic attitudes from leadership. For an LGBTQIA+ organization, I would expect them to be more considerate when speaking to and about the folks who work with/for them.

Workers are passionate about their work, workplace conditions, and the well-being of the young people who reach out to us. Some of the most loving and wonderful human beings you'll meet.

Cons

Management is preparing to layoff a large number of folks and downsizing across the board. They haven't built much trust going into the process and no one's been feeling safe or secure for some time now.

I love the team here at The Trevor Project. The people here are so smart, so talented, so passionate, and so interesting. It's just a really impressive group of people. The work we do and the clear impact we have for LGBTQI+ youth is so motivating. I've been really impressed with the focus on employees and employee wellbeing. We had an org-wide Wellness Week and stipends to support our professional development and wellness. The focus on diversity & inclusion has been really important and there has been a significant increase in diversity of the staff at all levels since I arrived. Last year, when most organizations were laying people off or freezing salaries, Trevor grew its team and raised staff salaries. I'm really proud to work here.

Cons

Since we're remote I'd appreciate having more social events virtually and I wish we could start our international expansion already (though I know it is coming!).
