Pros

The mission of this organization is so incredibly pure. The people are so talented, smart and fun. And the organization is growing and launching lots of new innovative initiatives.

Cons

Expectations are incredibly high. But can't really think of any other cons.

Rewarding, amazing, difficult but worth it

Pros

Helping youth that’s struggling is heavy yet rewarding. You’re offering an ear to listen when someone needs you most. You’re literally changing lives.

Cons

The heaviness of talking with people in crisis, such as feeling suicidal, can get very difficult. Burn out is real. However, they’re amazing at teaching self care and ensuring everyone feels good.

Best place I've worked

Pros

Super high impact work and a mission that motivates me every day. I've been learning a lot. Really impressed with recent trainings: the org paid for anyone who does external speaking to go to a two-day communications training and the whole staff is going through a full day training on diversity and inclusion. I'm also really impressed with everything that People Ops is doing, like creating a 12-week parental leave policy, increasing vacation, the D&I work, etc. And I've never worked in a place that had health insurance this good that was 100% covered by the company. Everyone here has a really, really high bar, so there is still a lot to be done, but this is by far the best place I've ever worked in my career.

Cons

Would like to see even more professional development opportunities and we need a bigger office to accommodate all the growth.
