Pros

Strong Technical capabilities and reputation help to make this a good place to work as an engineer. The work assignments were interesting and challenging

Cons

Bearings are continuously being driven to commodity type pricing, despite the significant technology needed to make and use them properly. This creates a natural tension between technical innovation and market strategy. Overall Timken seems only OK at managing that tension.
