Cons

I really wanted to like the company and it seemed great for the first few months. Management/leadership either has no time to help or give guidance. Constantly "fire fighting" and never working on making improvements. After 4 years I have yet to see the plant be proactive about anything. Every decision is a reactive decision. They Implemented a "lean" training plan called TMOS and it has soley become a method for leadership to point fingers and deflect issues away from themselves. The morale is so poor it makes you dread most conversations. They pride themselves on being single threaded in most departments, so if someone is on vacation, is sick, retires, or quits, that department basically shutdown and the panic and overreacting takes control. There is almost no training programs for any part of the business. So you become the only person in your department, leadership is too busy to help, you will fall behind, leadership will point fingers, and then when someone is out for a shift or quits, you will be forced to cover that operation with no training and no help. Direct floor leadership tries very hard to keep the ship from burning, but everyone above them seems to actively look for ways to prevent them from being successful. I've heard other Timken plans are great, but I haven't seen any signs of that. I believe the only way to give them above a 2 star review is to be part of the "friends group" that seems to run all the decisions
