If you negotiate a good bonus pay is ok Some areas are better than others. Bank has some good business lines, but there are a lot of silos and its hard to know what is going on in various areas.

Cons

Strategy has changed a number of times which makes it hard to build a sustainable business Calculations of returns of individual businesses don't make much sense Bank isn't built to be competitive in trading of most assets

Pay scales are great, If you find the right team to work with, you may even grow

Cons

Toxic work culture You will only be promoted if u suck up to your boss, you actual performance will never be considered. I was widely believed that my team lead was having an affair with on of my colleagues, and every possible effort was made to make sure I leave so that she can be promoted. I was even threatened by my boss to keep quiet else face to consequences. I had over 15 referrals from colleagues stating my good performance yet my position was given to the lady in question and I was side lined
