Pros

consistent pay, nearly free medical for whole family, work travel paid, lots of advancement opportunities

Cons

Legal system is faulty, mistreatment of personnel, high favoritism, most commands are unorganized with frequent last minute changes, very invasive of personal life, pay is only good for officers, enlisted Soldiers not paid nearly enough for work provided

Pros

Great benefits, medical coverage is abundant; for the most part, fellow employees are very dedicated and willing to work with others. Time off is also a plus (all federal holidays off). Pay is not bad either.

Cons

Lots of politics; promotion to the next level is difficult unless you have an inside track with a senior manager/leader. Policy and procedures are various and clutter how we do business at times.
