If you are into client project, you don't know when you will get promotion 3. when you are in client project and seeing few issues , then there will no one to listen your issues, if they listen also, there will be no actions from their side to support their employees. 4. Less Leaves [casual and sick] <15 per year 5. HR does not listen when you give valid reasons also to have a early release 6. Managers do not have power to take decision , its all with HR's 7. Pros

The client was an industry leading Semi-Conductor company.

Cons

As said in my headline, join the company only if you are very desperate for a job. Finance:- The starting salary they pay is very low and you can barely survive with it in a metro city. And the annual hike they give is pretty much a joke. [ which they stopped for 18 months during covid period.] There were colleagues of mine who had worked for over 4 years and still wasn't earning 35k pm. They would also offer to pay you if you work on the weekends and say that it will be credited in the next month salary. But they wont and when we go asking about it they say the management decided not to give. Work:- Even though the work i did was for large Semiconductor company, it will became dry after couple of months. I was in manual execution team and even though there are things that we can learn , they company doesn't care as long as we are following the testing according to the documents that they've created. So after some point we would be like robots just reading the document and following the steps as it is. Until unless you are very enthusiastic you wouldn't learning anything because the work doesn't demand it. Time:- there is no fixed working hours, the client can come up with the task at 7:00 pm and we have to sit through the night to finish it. In almost all cases our management wouldn't say no to client even if their requirement is unfair. if the work is worth 2 weeks time and they say to finish in one week , the management will make us sit through day and night and weekends to finish that rather than ask the client for more time. Management:- I came here as a fresher with high hopes and seeing posts like " Best Company to work for" , but now I'm guessing all those was their PR work. Because the management doesn't care about the welfare of the employees. They said to all engineer who were working from home to come to Bangalore [work location] otherwise they will fire us during the peak time of COVID in May 2020. My manager literally said in a meeting " I don't want to know whether you are in a hotspot , but i want to you to reach Bangalore or there will be consequences" . Even during these difficult times such behavior cannot be tolerated. And one the weirdest thing is , if you are resigning , they wont pay your salary for last two months. And you get salary only after 30 days since your last working day. So in effect you wouldn't have your salary for 90 DAYS!!! If we ask about it , they say it's their policy. Job Security:- Very minimum job security, I saw many people getting fired/forcefully made to put resignation just because of poor budget planning and cuts and in one case when an employee asked about why hike is very low in a meeting, TL;DR Don't join because Internet says its the best place to work for. Go only if you are desperate for a job

Pros

Gives opportunities to people of less fortune and opportunity.

Cons

You will be treated less as a respected employee and more like a charity case that should feel lucky to even be in the program despite it being your own work and effort that got you in the program.
