Pros

Decent pay to start. That's about it.

Cons

Possibly the most horrid place to work in Wisconsin. If the idea of working for a horrible family interests you, sign up. Just take five minutes to read any of the "positive" reviews on Glassdoor and you'll immediately spot them as plants. It must be part of some marketing scheme. Ever wonder why they have so many positions open ALL THE TIME on the local Milwaukee job boards? It's because the turnover rate is so high. Everyone who has decided to make a career there must have very little self-esteem.

While Glassdoor is a place for voluntary anonymous feedback, we take this feedback seriously. At Uline, we strive to create a professional and comfortable work environment for all employees. The Uihlein’s invest in the company’s success as well as the employee’s success. We do not force any of our employees to post a review. Uline is growing at a rapid pace. Recently, we expanded with five new locations adding four-million square feet. In order to keep up with this growth we continue to develop our internal talent, promote from within and hire new talent. Thank you for taking the time to leave your opinions.

Pros

Corporate facilities are excellent. Amazing cafeteria. Gym is always clean and there is a sauna. Miles of paved trails to walk or run on in the summer. Christmas gifts and year end bonuses are generous. PTO system is good. Plenty of good people work here.

Cons

It is very difficult to raise your wage other than a yearly 2 or 4%. Notorious for giving people new roles with greater responsibility but NOT providing any additional compensation. Management will say, "You are doing a great job, wait until December!" Then hit you with the routine 2 or 4% depending on if you are viewed as average or above average. They try to sell they they value you and your family as if you are part of their own but are pretty ruthless when it comes to termination or they decide they don't want you anymore. I never felt completely secure even after two+ years and three new roles. Feedback and communication is poor. I found a new job and put in my two weeks but it still felt like I got fired. "Get your stuff and leave immediately." They are belief driven not data driven. Even if the data is screaming to do something new, if it is not in line with the owners beliefs it is a bad recommendation to make.

Pros

Decent Pay, good job secuirty

Cons

There is no freedom at all. You feel like you are working at a daycare. 16 vacation days sounds good at first but that includes any sick or personal days. The owner of this company acts as if she is running a plantation and the workers are her slaves. Everyone does there best to run in the opposite direction whenever upper management is nearby. Not a friendly environemnt.
