Pros

- Smart, hard working employees - Respected brands - Ethical - Strong values in sustainability, corporate responsibility - Can work from home (although career advancement still depends on office visibility)

Cons

- Company values youth vs. experience. - Frequent reorganizations, downsizings force out seasoned employees and strain remaining employees. - US marketing careers stall at manager level (too expensive vs. other nationalities). - Too many US leadership roles taken by expats. - Long hours working across multiple global time zones will burn you out. - It's not enough to strive for excellence - you must be driven to "win". - Once you're in, salary increases are low. Benefits have been cut over the years. - Many outsourced functions and processes are frustrating to employees and waste time (esp. HR and purchasing).

Can be a great company to work for

Pros

Agile work environment; great benefits, employee perks, socially responsible company.

Cons

Despite lots of talk about upward career movement promotions are based on how how adept one is at stroke senior management ego vs actual talent. Many decisions are made in a vacuum based on senior management opinion rather than actual fact/numbers. Best employment for traditional supply chain, finance and marketing professionals. Negotiate your compensation up front because once employed salary increases are limited.

Pros

Flexible work hours and WFH opportunities. People are great!

Cons

Very hard to move up in the organization. Lots of time and effort put towards young kids hired straight out of college but no growth opportunities for middle mangement
