Pros

The hope that they will learn from their mistakes, but probably not...

Cons

They released in June the ThreatSecure Network product without a quote from a Beta customer or any outside users of the product. Do they even have a customer? Instead they listed a quote from their CEO... He said it is great... enough said.

Pros

ThreatTrack Security is one of a kind. Having previously been under the name of Sunbelt Software back in 1994, only to be acquired by GFI Software in 2010, and later spinning itself back out in 2013 to focus on the enterprise market, ThreatTrack Security provides a start-up feel, with a mature company's financial footing. With over 50 million in revenue, you are constantly surrounded by new innovative technology, brilliant engineers, and best-in-class sales personnel. It's definitely not a place for the weak-willed, but rather those looking to learn a lot and move forward in their careers. ThreatTrack values employees that have a high-activity level and are looking to be true team players.

Cons

All the cons have worked themselves out with the changes in Senior Mgmt. Very confident in the current team to keep ThreatTrack on the right path!

Pros

ThreatTrack Security is an up and coming organization that specializes in the detection, prevention, and analysis of advanced cyber threats. Having worked in the IT Sales industry for almost ten years, I've run the gambit of both good and bad organizations, and I feel comfortable saying that while ThreatTrack appears to have been lost in the weeds for a while, they're finally on the right track. The products are affordable, and easy to use. ThreatTrack has a unique way of detecting and displaying advanced threat data to make it consumable, as opposed to the status quo - a table of security alerts. A surge in experienced sales management and sales professionals, combined with accelerated marketing and re-branding activities, and a brilliant Product Management team made up of almost exclusively workaholics, gives me great confidence in the direction this company is headed. I would argue that the compensation is higher, or at least commensurate with what you can expect in the DC area; standard benefits to include health, vision, dental, short and long term disability, 401k employer match, solid PTO, good work / life balance, etc.

Cons

Market share is an issue that we are slowly but surely dealing with. Along with a plethora of unknown start ups in the advanced cyber security space, there are a few security vendors that have dominated the industry for the past few years. It can be a challenge to get traction when your Customers can always fall back on the 'evil they know' - already known, albeit egregiously expensive solutions. I expect that as we continue to win competitive bids and put new product at new locations, it will get easier and easier to make the case that we're here to stay.
