Pros

Good people. Small company feel, with the benefit of sitting under the Ziff Davis umbrella and all the benefits the come with a $4.3 billion dollar company.

Cons

VIPRE is made up a handful of small Cyber Security companies, each with its own set of solutions. ZD has not figured out how to merge the individual companies into a solid unit operating as one. Although they identified and removed overlap in every org they have not yet discovered how to balance available resources to deliver updated, meaning full product. Marketing seems to be frozen because there is so much to cover and the Sales team tends to sale only those products they are familiar with. This has led to poor performance on the revenue front. They brought in a new CRO a few years ago, with the intent of turning VIPRE to the Channel, which is exactly where it belongs. He built a really strong team with 100 years of combined channel experience and put all the pieces in place, only to be let go recently because revenue was off. He is the CRO and that is his responsibility, but anybody who know the channel knows that It takes time to build. Ziff Davis does not understand the channel. Expected 30% year over year growth overnight. With the recent changes in leadership at VIPRE, I suspect the efforts of the last two years will be scraped to some extent, and they go back to a more direct sales model. The new GM has zero channel experience.

Pros

Remote work available Easy to coast if you're a slacker (there are plenty).

Cons

VIPRE used to have a great product and excellent support. Over the years management refused to replace talented employees when they went elsewhere for better pay.

Pros

-Amazing company, without doubt it has been the best place I have worked at in many aspects. -Very nice, friendly and inclusive atmosphere, and even though I work fully remote I always feel supported and like I belong. There is a choice of different activities and employee programs that are always available for all. -Continued training and guidance to my role. I can also see Management making decisions in the best of employees' interests. -There are internal surveys to get insights from employees that Leadership seem to take very seriously. I get the impression that people are always heard and looked after - at least I have always felt very valued as a part of the VIPRE Security Group.

Cons

Benefits in Mexico can be improved as we don't receive the same opportunities that are offered in other Mexican companies. There is also room for improvement in terms of internal processes, but I can definitely see the major progress that is being made since I started working for VIPRE.
