      Stay Away ! Not what it used to be !

      Pros

      Can hardly think of any. Good pay as Verizon is generous on the shift allowances and overtime. No other pros comes to mind.

      Cons

      Very negative environment purely down to bad and amateurish management. The 100% time tracking is driving everyone mad. You have to log all your time in remedy. It feels like being back in primary school again. No training or staff development plans. People are not being promoted fairly. People are calling out sick frequently. You never know if you will be called in on your day off.

      Promote from within. Professional Development and Education is encouraged and FREE (for the most part). Great benefits and bonuses. Annual merit increases based on performance. Other employee perks likes discounts

      Cons

      It's just as competitive to move around and up internally as it is externally. It's all about who you know and networking. Need your leadership to bombard hiring managers in order to get jobs. Pay isn't consistant across the board. Huges gaps in pay range within same titles. Sales experience highly favored to move ahead in the company. NO ON THE JOB TRAINING. It's sink or swim. Most of middle management is incompetent and HQ teams work in vacuums

      Poorly IT senior, mid and lower management. Unprofessional working env. Poorly functioned human resource. Poorly equal opportunity. Very poor decision making on system design and architect. Many unqualified managers.
