      Stay away from Verizon Landline managers

      Pros

      Very high exposure to cutting edge projects, benefits are good. One of the few companies to give bonuses during the recession. Also receive profit sharing and long term incentives which is a nice second bonus if you're lucky to have gotten one. People are great to work with.

      Cons

      If you work for a manager that was either laid off or transffered from Verizon landline BE CAUTIOUS. Landline managers a bunch of idiot micro managers. Landline managers should stay out of wireless because the cultures clash and they just do not belong. Landline managers don't know squat about wireless technologies. Its so sad to see landline managers trying to act like they know what they are doing but everyone sees through the fakeness.

      Pros

      Verizon is a great place to work. They propagate an entrepreneurial atmosphere and encourage innovation. Employees are accountable for what they do and everyone is tasked to create value for the company and create the best user experience possible for the customer while doing that. Creativity is nurtured and there is a sense everyone is working towards the 'greater good'.

      Cons

      At times working for a large company can feel overwhelming in that changing directions to deal with market conditions becomes very difficult. Finding enough growth areas for a company of this size is key to the success of the company over the next 10 years and key for professional growth off the employees.
