      Pros

      Benefits (health benefits, 401K and Tuition Assistance)

      Cons

      It has become a big company and therefore they have eliminated many employoees. Many people are going to cell phones so the Telecom (Verizon for your house) side of Verizon is loosing customers in an alarming rate. Another reason people are leaving Verizon is for the competition (cable companies) since they are also offering the same services as Verizon.

      Pros

      Excellent pay. Benefits are better than most (though not as great as they will claim).

      Cons

      Stressful stressful work. The best is never good enough. Always demanding more hours and more job duties. Touts work life balance but does not really allow for one. Even harder on mid level managers than employees. Being surrounded by unhappy people that hate their job but are trapped by their pay is very depressing. Senior Leadership used to convey excitement and positivity. Now they convey negativity.

      Pros

      I was able to work from home, the hours are quite reasonable as they try and make sure you don't go over for budget reasons.

      Cons

      constant re-orgs and layoff every 3 - 6 months change of management causes you to feel like you're working backwards sometimes.
